About me

As a first-generation Palestinian-American writer and a mental health professional based in Jerusalem, my journey has always been driven by a deep need to understand human behavior and identity. This pursuit comes from the struggle of navigating a world where Western influence often degrades and undermines the very heritage that defines us. I want us to take that power back, celebrate who we are, while recognizing and accepting our complexities.

My experience

With over a decade of experience in media, I’ve developed the ability to communicate effectively across diverse audiences. This has gifted me the skills to build bridges in the most challenging circles, educate people who otherwise have no background about the Arab world other than the stereotypes portrayed in mainstream media, and create spaces for mutual understanding.

My educational background in Communications, Media, and Psychology, combined with an MS in Psychology, fuels my passion for empowering Middle Eastern, third-culture, Muslim, and minority communities. I strive to help us celebrate our multifaceted identities while addressing the deeply rooted issues within our community that hold us back from fully expressing who want to be in this world.

My mission is to elevate our community from within -
by challenging outdated narratives, Western stereotypes and gaining a deeper understanding of our collective conditioning.

Through proven methods, research, and dialogue -
I aim to create a space where meaningful human connections drive compassion and lasting change.

I specialize in supporting the mental health needs of culturally sensitive communities, particularly within the Arab community, by addressing gender roles, sociocultural constructs, generational trauma, and the psychology of family and relationship dynamics.

In real-world application, this looks like:

  • Community group workshops that address specific concerns with real step-by-step how to’s

  • One-on-one sessions tailored to meet your needs with action-oriented plans for lasting impact

  • Corporate workshops designed to build bridges, develop effective communication, and create empathy within teams for a healthier and more understanding work environment

  • Writing op-eds and research articles across multiple platforms that address relevant mental health and sociocultural topics for further understanding and education.

Whether through writing, coaching, or workshops, I’m committed to helping individuals and organizations navigate the complexities of identity and mental health through empowerment, meaningful communication, and collective healing because we all deserve to be validated and understood through our continuous journey to healing and personal growth.
